Here, in no particular order, are a few myths about leadership that I used to believe.
- Good leaders are born that way
- Good leaders enjoy dealing with conflict
- Good leaders are (or should be) smarter/better than the rest of their team
- Good leaders are fulfilling a mystical destiny
- Good leaders are always confident
- Good leaders have the support/agreement of everyone they lead
- Good leaders don’t have problems with the people they lead
- Good leaders are not afraid
